BI warns foreigners vs fake inspection order in bars, hotels

MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Monday warned towards a supposed pretend order to examine overseas nationals in leisure locations resembling resorts and bars within the nation.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco stated the operations order that’s at the moment circulating in discussion groups on the Web titled “checking overstaying and unlawful employment in varied leisure locations” was not issued by the BI.

In line with Tansingco, the pretend order claimed that immigration personnel inspects leisure locations in Manila, together with bars, KTVs, music homes, golf golf equipment, bowling alleys, web cafes, amusement parks, casinos, resorts, visitor homes, and eating places to seek for unlawful aliens.

Tansingco stated the BI has no authority to randomly examine institutions.

“No such order has been issued by the BI,” Tansingco stated in a press release.
